3 are certainly getting serious about Mobile Broadband. Today they've more than doubled the monthly download limit from 7GB to a whopping 15GB and even better - they've slashed the monthly price of their 18 month Broadband Max package for existing customers by 50%.

This is by far the largest download allowance out there at the moment, storming ahead of T-Mobile's 10GB download limit.

This means that for existing 3 customers, this deal is available for £15 per month. And even if you aren't an existing customer, the deal is still very reasonable at £30 per month.

3 also today upped the download limit on their Broadband Plus packages too. A previous limit of 3GB has now increased to 5GB.

Mobile broadband packages from 3 start from as little as £10 per month and is perfect for those who don't want to have to pay line rental on top of their broadband package cost.

As long as you get a mobile broadband package with a good speed, mobile broadband can easily replace traditional broadband in your home.

In order to run a flexible and modern business, the Internet isn't something that you would want to loose contact with when out of the office.

Staying connected is essential and it's now very affordable for any business.

Why pay up to £20 a day for broadband access in a hotel or at hotspots when you can get it for £10 a month with a dongled laptop?

If would appear that Three have realised that they need to remain competitive and value for money in the fast evolving market of broadband on the move.

They already have the cheapest deal out there at the moment; why not steal the crown for the largest usage allowance too?

When searching for a high speed internet provider there are a few different options available to you. This article will discuss 3 of those options as well as discuss a few of the pros and cons that go along with each one.

The first of these 3 options is wireless

Wireless internet is the newest and most innovative of the 3. This option allows you to have full high speed internet privileges without the messy wiring. It is extremely simple to use and offers a great way to have your internet connection.

The downside to wireless is that it is typically a bit slower than cable internet and there are more frequent interruptions in service than in cable.

The 2nd of the 3 options is Satellite internet

Satellite internet is a great way to obtain high speed internet service. Typically, this type of service is only considered an option if wireless or cable internet is not available in the area that you are in.

Satellite internet falls short in 2 ways. First, it is a bit slower than wireless and/or cable. Second, you have to deal with the hassle of equipment and installation. However, outside of these 2 things, satellite internet is an EXCELLENT option for those that cannot obtain service any other way.

The 3rd option is Cable

This, in my opinion, is the best option available. With cable internet you will have the least amount of service interruptions with the fastest download speeds. If you have the option of receiving a cable land line you should take full advantage of it.

In conclusion, when selecting the type of high speed internet you want to obtain, it is important that you discover which of the 3 will best suit your needs. All 3 of these are excellent sources and will work perfectly for almost any type of use.

Good luck in your search!

Today technology is changing at a very fast pace and so are the networking options and cabling standards. Whether your requirement is as small as connecting your printer to the computer, or as big as wiring your entire office, you need the right cables for it to function properly. Its not just the length that you need to decide, rather a whole lot of factors need to be taken care of including the connectors, the quality of the cable, specific features, performance etc..

You need to select the right cable, but when you hear of terms like coaxial cable, fiber optics, shielded twisted pair, unshielded twisted pair Cat-3, Cat 5/5e Cat 6 cables you are sure to get confused. Before you purchase your network cables you should be aware of a lot of things and this article will serve as the right guide to help you take your decisions.

Firstly you need to decide whether you yourself want to handle all the details of the cabling infrastructure or hire someone to do so. For handling it all by yourself, you should have sufficient knowledge of the different cables available like cat 5, cat 5e, cat 6 etc. While outsourcing this work may involve a lot of expenses and may be a huge burden for a small company.
If you wish to select the cables yourself, you should keep in mind some important points.

1. To start with you should analyze your requirements to understand what you should look for in the cables. Cabling for a network with a few computers is an entirely different story from cabling the entire enterprise network. Identify the speed and the bandwidth required in the network to select the right category of the cable. For higher speed applications such as 10 Gbps you require a robust cabling system. Cat 6 supports 10 Gbps for small distances.

2. Make sure that the specifications of the cables should be equal to or above the specifications of the existing equipments. If you use Cat 5 cables to expand your network that is currently running on cat6 standards, the performance of this section will be limited to Cat 5 Cable.

3. Use Plenum rated cables if your cables run through places like above-ceiling air-handling spaces. These cables emit very less amount of toxic fumes when burnt.

4. Cables, such as cat5e cable, usually have a life of around 10-15 years. You should predict your future network needs and implement a cabling system that will be able to support your system till that time rather than those that are inexpensive. If in future your network requirements exceed the system's capacity it will not only be inconvenient but also expensive to replace your cables. On the other hand if you put a high performing and robust system in place from the start, it is sure to support your needs for a longer period.

Server Racks and Cable Inc provides both Cat 5e and Cat 6 to Fortune 500 companies, governments, and military agencies.

Broadband connectivity is frequently seen as a key ingredient for a successful, innovative economy. The reach of the Ethernet network, the speed and number of users plugged into the network are seen as key economic indicators.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) produced results in 2006 that should the percentage reach of broadband in a host of countries.

The results showed that Denmark with a reach of 29.3% where top, Netherlands next with 28.8%, the UK was 10 with 19.4%, USA 12% with 19.2%.

Since this table was published Chile has passed the 1 million users bench mark giving it a percentage reach of 6.8. In South America, Chile's 6.8 percent penetration rate is followed by Argentina with a 3.2 percent penetration rate, Brazil with 2.6 percent, Peru and Costa Rica with 1.5 percent, and Colombia with 1.1 percent. It puts Chile well clear of the rival economies in the region. Chile's GDP per captia is also the highest of the South American countries ranking 54 in the world, above Argentina 57, Costa Rica 75, Brazil 78 and Peru ranked 83. It raises the issue that is Chile the most connected because it has the best GDP per captia or does it has the best GDP per captia because it is the best connected? Only a long term study of trends will be able to determine the answer.

The strongly held belief that broadband connectivity is a key factor in economic growth has started to effect public policy and investment. In Australia the ruling Labor Government have pledged $4.7 Billion in a bid to massively improve the infrastructure of the countries broadband connectivity. The Welsh Assembly Government has pledged £100 million to fast track the development of the broadband infrastructure in Wales. Telekom Srbija recent deal with Interoute is another example of the rapidly expanding reach of broadband into new markets in Europe.

It will be worth watching the GDP growth rates compared to the broadband connectivity percentage over the next few years to see if there really is a link between the two.

If you want to surf the web and download/upload faster, while this isn't going to be a revelation to anyone, you need to have Broadband Internet Service (such as a Cable, DSL or "T1 or T3" connection). If you have telephone modem service, forget it Jack- you lose, you'll never get fast internet speed ever, you can't squeeze blood out of a stone!

So to pass "Go", step 1 is to get Broadband Internet Service! Of these, usually a "T" line is the fastest and most expensive and "Cable" and "DSL" both have their pluses and minuses. I have Cable Internet Service which is quite fast and the pluses are your connection is by cable rather than a phone line. The negatives are the more people using the Cable line at the same time will slow down your internet speed. With DSL which is also fast, you are using a phone line but are not affected by the amount of people on DSL at the same time. Basically it's your call for which service is best for your situation. Before I go on, factors like the amount of memory your computer has, the processor speed and the hard drive space, could affect internet speed to a degree and I'd try especially in regards to memory and processor speed, to get the maximum you can afford.

Even though you have Broadband, you still might not be happy with your internet speed because: 1. Your cache is too large, 2. You have adware/spyware/viruses on your computer, 3. Your modem needs rebooting, and 4. You don't have an internet speed accelerator. I'll now go over what to do on each of these:

In the case of your cache being too large, it could slow down your speed and I recommend you get software that clears the cache on your internet browser whether it be Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, etc. The software I recommend is (Webroot ) Window Washer. I would use this software daily but do not have your browser window open when you do. This will clear your cache.

Adware/Spyware and viruses definitely can slow your internet speed down. I would get a decent anti-spyware/adware program to get this stuff off your computer and run it every few days. I would have a decent anti-virus program as well and scan for viruses at least weekly. Note, if you go to Porn sites and some MP3 download sites, your computer will in all likelihood pick up spyware/adware, so ask yourself if it's worth it because chances are your internet speed will be affected. I'd recommend you use (Webroot) Spyware Doctor and/or (PC Tools) Registry Mechanic to get rid of this stuff and also NOD 32 for your anti-virus software, as it doesn't slow down your internet speed and computer like some other anti-virus programs do. I would try to avoid most Internet Security Software as they tend to slow down internet speed as well.

Every so often, your internet carrier for some reason loses a connection on your modem and when they resume for some reason your internet speed runs slower. When that happens, you need to reboot your modem. Just unplug the power cord for about a minute and then reconnect it to the socket. Your modem will reboot and the speed should be back to the way its suppose to be.

Lastly, I would get internet accelerator software. This software maximizes your computer's settings for faster downloads and internet response. I actually use two programs for this: Ascentive ActiveSpeed and Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC. I run ActiveSpeed first and SpeedUpMyPC right after. I run both programs after I've rebooted my computer or when I've added or deleted software programs.

The end result from following the above steps should be to get your internet speed including downloads, running consistently faster then before.
